Surgical Technicians – Job Opening – California
Job description:
Job Summary
This position requires weekly travel to multiple clinic locations, assisting in gastrointestinal procedures. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining a sterile environment, supporting physicians and anesthesia providers, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Key Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel weekly to various locations across California.
- Reliable transportation is required for travel between assignments.
- Must be able to lift and transport equipment weighing 50+ lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile operating environments for surgical procedures.
- Assist gastroenterologists and CRNAs during procedures by handling instruments, retractors, and equipment as needed.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent contamination in procedural areas.
- Support the cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments post-procedure.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Document relevant patient and procedural information as required.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Experience & Skills:
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Operating Room (OR) protocols and procedures.
- Emergency medicine or trauma care experience (Level I Trauma Center preferred).
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile field.
